No – not in any way. Have you ever heard of Hari Kari(?) – the Japanese honor suicide technique – that would be easier and less painful as brutal and painful as that technique is.
The Heart is protected well by the chest cage. A long stabbing implement directed towards the heart from below or between the ribs would be a highly painful thing to do and nearly impossible without training to do accurately.
How do I know this? Because it is part of my work and training to know how to reach the heart from outside of the chest. It is a difficult technique that requires experience.
If you are contemplating suicide – get help please, as soon as possible.

Almost certainly not. More likely, stabbing yourself in the chest with a knife will result in a small, moderately painful wound, minor blood loss, and possible infection. It would be incredibly difficult to actually stab yourself in the chest hard enough, and accurately enough, against your pain and reflexes, to do real damage, not to say it couldn’t be done, especially with an icepick between the ribs or something. But even if you managed a fatal wound to the heart, it would be quite painful, and it would still take you a while to die. Unless you just happened to drop dead of shock, then I guess maybe so, actually. Please don’t stab yourself, or others.
