I am a survivor, I was beaten so hard I now wear glasses as he fucked up my optic nerves. He broke my nose, not only did I need to attend hospital (something Ms Heard admitted she never did), I stayed in 48 hours due to the sickness and concussion it caused. I still (20 years later) have the scarring and a ridge in the tip of my nose. You don’t have your nose broken and have a perfect nose afterwards.
He kicked me so hard he busted a rip, threw me down a flight of stairs and left me in a literal puddle of blood.
When it came time to face him, I couldn’t look anywhere at but the wood of the box I was standing in. He might have seen me. I couldn’t move, I was too scared. The judge had to physically give me permission to sit as I was terrified he was going to beat me too.
The prosecution barrister had to stand in a certain place so he obscured my view of the court before I would even speak. My ex roared “SHUT UP BITCH!” and I did!
Terror didn’t begin to describe it.
That woman sneered, looked directly at him, smiled, played to the jury and walked past him…until she remembered her role and “became” scared.
I didn’t leave court until the court officials said he had been taken away. I was too scared he might see me.
Also, Johnny has former partners all testify he was nothing but a true Southern gentleman when they were together. My ex’s former parents all testified how quick tempered and violent he was.

Most recently today, with the former TMZ producer confirming it was Amber that sent TMZ the video of Johnny slamming cupboards.
And the day before with the Trailer park owner.
How much more evidence do people need?
No one is convinced on a notion and it’s not Johnny’s smear campaign, bots, or all his fans coming to his defence. She is a manipulative narcissist and it’s been PROVEN time and time again.
The real question is how is anyone convinced she is telling the truth?

Because the evidence is overwhelming in favor of Depp. Amber Heard only has hearsay accounts. Her accusations against him have always been hearsay.  Even the 2020 Sun trial was based entirely on hearsay, or a he-said-she-said scenario.    During this new trial, there was plenty of evidence including but not limited to:  An audio recording of Amber Heard admitting to hitting Johnny Depp.  An audio recording of Amber Heard telling Johnny to (paraphrased)”tell the world, that I, a man, am also a victim of domestic violence. Tell the world and see who sides with you.”  Over 15 witnesses on behalf of Johnny Depp, including first hand accounts of female police officers, doormen, his ex, etc., specifically disputing Amber Heard's accusations and description of events. Many of these disputed events were previously deemed as “more likely than not' to have happened in the previous 2020 trial, because none of these first hand witnesses were presented (shows you a lot about how that previous trial was purely based on one-on-one hearsay).  Amber Heard admitted two times, on separate cross examinations, that she wrote the op ed, and that this op ed was specifically about Johnny Depp. Prior to the first cross exam, her team moved to dismiss the trial on the grounds that she did not write the article.  Amber Heard was clinically evaluated by Johnny Depp's retained psychologist to have histrionic and borderline personality disorders using DSM-5 methods per procedure.  Amber Heard's two psychologists insisted that Amber Heard suffered from PTSD from Johnny Depp, and that Johnny Depp had mental health disorder traits. Both of these assessments were demonstrably made incorrectly, and unethically, (both out of procedure and outside of APA guidelines), and without any direct evaluation of Johnny Depp. Psychologists can not diagnose people whom they haven't directly assessed, and it was quite clear that these two were career court witnesses paid by Amber's team.  Amber Heard claimed that she did not seek monetary gains from the divorce settlement from Depp, and insisted that she donated her $7 million to charities. She then said that the reason why she didn't pay the $7 million is because Johnny sued her. When questioned, she equivocated “pledged' with “donated', and it was discovered that she held onto that money for 13 months prior to being sued.  Numerous stories of hers cannot be corroborated with any evidence. When confronted with peripheral evidence that actually contradicts her story, she does a lot of mental gymnastics consistent with people who have histrionic personality disorder.  Amber Heard claims that she never sent the tape of Johnny smashing cabinets (the day his mother died from CANCER by the way) to TMZ. A person from TMZ directly refuted this and even added that the clip was edited. It would've been impossible for TMZ to use this video as a “TMZ exclusive' (which effectively copyrights this as TMZ owned) without authorization from the source (Amber Heard). She was also seen to accidentally admit to alerting TMZ in 2020. When confronted about it, she went histrionic again.  Amber Heard's only witness supporters are all people who have something to lose from a guilty verdict. One of her witnesses is an avid trans activist and has actually lied about events in a podcast on YouTube. The others are people who have lived in Johnny's penthouse for free, with something to lose if Amber doesn't get the counterclaim in her favor. This is in contrast to the many witnesses of Johnny Depp who have nothing to gain by testifying (see : his ex, cops, the TMZ guy who might literally get sued by TMZ).  Amber Heard specifically presented doctored photographs of herself as evidence of abuse, when it is visibly obvious that it was color enhanced. She then pulled the “no you' card and claimed that Depp photoshopped his own injuries.    Yeah, she is just not at all believable and there is evidence that she is a manipulative domestic violence perpetrator. Zero evidence that Depp ever abused her or raped her like she claims. Zero evidence against Depp versus a lot of evidence against Heard.  Gee, I wonder why people are siding with Johnny Depp huh? I guess we are all just “fans' and “bots' (hilariously, one of Heard's accusations against Depp). For one I watched the trial so I could see that MsM was aggressively pushing their own proudful agenda so I didn’t rely on it.
Secondly, everything I ever learned from my own experience and then working in a counseling agency (Family Violence Treatment Program) was applied. I was triggered when watching AH, cried when I listened to the evidence.
Third, JD said “You dont know what its like to be punched.” Remember, she knew she was taping, he didn’t. She didnt say “yes i do” and “you did”. She was antagonizing him and trying to get physical. She demeaned him for his efforts to leave and not stay and fight. She called him a baby, that he wasnt a man and needed to grow up. When he refused again she called him “admirable” like its a dirty word. This itself contradicts the AH supporters who try to say that JD abused her. THATS WHAT SHE WANTED. SHE WANTED TO PHYSICALLY FIGHT. JD wouldn’t cooperate. Show me a Woman beater who would not start hitting if he were antagonized endlessly, made fun of, be called a baby and needs to grow up because he leaves when she gets physical.
Fourth, AH never said to JD that what she publicly reported was true. She explained why she did or said whatever. Blamed her lawyer. She said her lawyer told her she had to or she would be evicted. A lawyer wouldn’t normally do that. They might have asked her if she was abused looking for legal just cause for what AH was asking for. But make something up? Doubt it. She was angry because she was being called a liar. She told JD that she didnt want him out there defending himself. That’s one reason why she hated his popularity and friendships because she had a plan, wanted control of the narrative, and wanted JD to take the fall and be a good boy. Abusers do not take well to their victims having support. They isolate them. Note: JD never isolated AH. Who was living in those penthouses? AH tried desperately to isolate JD from the world.
Fifth, AH: “Tell the world Johnny, tell a judge a jury, that “I Johhny Depp, a man, am a victim of domestic violence and see if they believe you” JD: Yes I am.

Evidence.
Amber had no character witnesses other than her sister. The rest were paid experts. No exes, no friends, no one she’s worked with in the film industry.
Photos. She described absolutely horrific abuse that could have out a normal person into a coma, yet the best she could do was photos of furniture and one tiny bruise without any swelling that seemed to appear and disappear.
Audio. She tried so hard to set him up but. Pilsner catch him physically attacking her or talking about it on any recording. Meanwhile we hear her admit multiple times to attacking him and even saying she couldn’t promise NOT to attack him. She also blames him for running away during fights.. ????
No tears. I’ve never seen someone TRY so hard to cry to the point of such crazy over acting and still not manage a single tear.
Lies. She lied about whether she knew how to leak photos to the media, she said at the time everyone believed the urban legend Kate Moss had been pushed down the stairs. She said the money HAD BEEN donated (past tense). She said multiple witnesses “weren’t there” when they objectively were. She cited many instances of abuse in front of lots of people, and NONE of them could corroborate except her sister, whose testimony was discredited by two other witnesses. She acccidentally confessed to writing the op-Ed about Depp.

Watch the trial and it should be pretty evident. But the short answer (compared to watching weeks of testimony) is most people found Amber Heard's testimony to be unbelievable.  Her mannerisms came off as rehearsed and disingenuous. For example, she was constantly talking directly to the jury, as if lecturing, vs. focusing in herself and her memories while describing traumatic events . Think of one of your most painful, intimate memories. Now go tell a loved one all about it. It's very unlikely you'll be bold facedly staring them down while you recount the event. Johnny Depp, on the other hand, behaved more like one would expect during his testimony. He usually looked/responded directly to the lawyers asking him questions or was looking down or to the side as he recalled events that it happened to him.  Heard made all sorts of facial contortions as if she was crying, yet there was never any snot, tears, voice choking up, facial redness, etc…so her “crying” looked like an act. She would go from highly emotional to completely unemotional when her “act” was interrupted. Then she would resume right where she left off when the questioning was restarted. Many empaths and abuse survivors watched her talk about HORRIFIC abuse and felt NO empathetic connection, but they did with Johnny. Instinctually, Johnny seemed more sympathetic.  Then there was her actual story. It was inconsistent; not just missing details or not fully remembered, but remembered in great EXTRANEOUS detail which conflicted with her own and other witnesses testimony. She was caught in outright lies during parts of her testimony. There were recordings of her saying horrific, abusive things, admitting to attacking Depp and being the aggressor, and calling him a coward for trying to avoid conflict.  She utterly refused to admit any fault or answer questions clearly during cross-examination. Instead she wiggled, dodged questions, redefined terminology, and came off as ridiculously unwilling to give straight answers.  Then there was her evidence. She had a few pictures of bruising, which were somewhat compelling, except they didn't match the horrific violence she had testified that she'd endured. It was also proven at least some of the photos had undergone manipulation to change the color levels. The most compelling photo was of her with a slightly bruised nose. She claimed Depp had maliciously headbutted her full force and broken her nose. Depp said she had been attacking him, (Something he claimed she did frequently. He also had pictures of bruises) and he'd pinned her arms down to her sides so she couldn't punch him. As she thrashed and they struggled in the hallway, at some point, her nose/forehead had collided with him. His story sounded fairly believable, and was more consistent with the photos which did not show the sort of bruising you'd expect from a broken nose or a full force headbutt.  She claimed horrific injuries that would have almost certainly needed medical attention, or in the very least would have drawn the attention of others, but she never sought any kind of medical attention and none of the many witnesses saw any of the injuries. This included police officers and nurses. There were numerous photos of her within days of many of the incidents she claimed to have happened, wearing little to no make up, and none of them showed injuries. She claimed she had managed to cover everything with very natural makeup, but most people found that unbelievable.  Strong evidence was given that she had lied about events leading up to her filing a restraining order. She testified she had tried to divorce Johnny without public notice, when in fact, she maliciously instigated a media circus to humiliate him and damage his reputation. This was made evident by multiple witnesses who were unaffiliated with either Depp or Heard. She also perjured herself by testifying she'd donated the divorce settlement to charities, when she hadn’t.  And that's just HER testimony. Then you factor in multiple witnesses supported Depp's telling of events or rebutted testimony of her witnesses, the fact her lawyers and expert witnesses came off as shady af, along with Depp's expert witness psychologist seeming impressively competent and testifying that Heard had borderline and histrionic personality disorders (and Heard's own testimony showcasing this pretty clearly) and Heard just came off as a crazy, lying, gas-lighting, mean-spirited, abusive turd!  Meanwhile, Depp came of as deeply flawed, but generally honest about it, and genuinely warm, generous, and well loved by his peers and even his other exes.  And seriously, I could go on. There was a LOT. O_O. But hopefully that gives you an idea.

Because Amber Heard is a pathological liar who wouldn’t know the truth if it came up to her and slapped her.
She was the abusive person in their relationship and it has more than been proven, not only by the tapes shown in court but by all of Johnny’s witnesses, his body guard, his exes, particularly Vanessa Paradis, mother of his two children whom he had a 14 year relationship.
She clearly stated in her testimony that Johnny is a gentle man, was never abusive towards her and she never felt that anything he did was abusive.
Note that when Amber Heard started her bullshit, screaming that Johnny was abusive, none of his exes raced to her defense. Why? Because, like Vanessa, they had never been abused by him.
Abusive men don’t start being abusive in their 40’s or 50’s. Physical abuse from a man starts, usually, in his first relationship and it is often because his father abused his mother. Johnny had a really hard life growing up but that never made him abusive.
Amber has had a number of relationships and every single one of them involved her being abusive to her then partner.
When you look at just the things that I am saying, there is no doubt that Amber is a liar and an abuser and she definitely went out of her way to try and destroy Johnny Depp in any way that she could, no doubt trying to make the courts feel sorry for her and to give her a large amount of Johnny’s hard earned money. After all, he made at least $80,000,000 in the Jack Sparrow franchise alone.
When this story first broke out some years ago, the first thing I said was she was lying. The acting community is a small community compared to the rest of the world. Had Johnny actually been abusive, the word would have been out in the community years ago and people would have backed her false claims without second thought.
Amber Heard is a F-rated starlet who believes that the world actually would care about her. Sorry, but when the movie company is swayed by the public’s demand that they either remove her from Aquaman or cut her screen time to bare minimal, what does that say to you? That nobody believes this lying bitch and they want the movie company to dump her sorry ass by the side of the road.

With Scamber Turd’s team, not only does she have the problem that she comes across as thoroughly unlikable, she has several problems with her testimony:
Her only witnesses are people who have something to gain by siding with her or have an axe to grind against Depp
Elon Musk and James Franco both told her that if she called them to the stand, she would not like what they had to say
This potentially includes key damaging statements like how Turd borderline raped Musk for his fertilized eggs, Musk had bruises on his face while they were dating, and Musk issued a public apology to Depp within days of the court case opening
She has a history of Domestic Violence as the abuser due to her ex-wife putting her in jail for the night before they divorced
A Metadata forensics expert claimed that most of her photos were put and saved into a photoshop program
Every time she has been caught lying by Cross Boss Camille Vasquez, she short-circuits, gets aggressive and sloppy
It is not a good look for someone portraying a victim of DV to get snappy and aggressive the moment someone pokes a hole in their story
She cannot keep her wording straight when cross-examined, and what’s even worse is the amount of times that she has thrown her own team under the bus
The fact that she claims to have NEVER received medical attention for her damages when a broken nose or a potentially broken, spare vodka bottle up her vagina would be things that you need to see to immediately because the blood loss alone could kill a person
Her “expert witnesses” are all hacks with serious trouble because they’re known to twist the truth or outright lie on the stand
Another problem with them is that it seems like none of them actually met with Johnny Depp while Depp’s team made sure everyone met and made realistic opinions about Scamber Turd
She comes across as trying too hard to emote, especially crying, and humans tend to notice that sort of behavior—and they are extremely wary of it
Scamber Turd’s stories are not consistent from one person to the next, and what’s even worse is that Turd she can’t even keep her own story straight from one minute to the next
It has been shown that she stole her stories of domestic violence from multiple sources, including her former assistant
Many of her lines are lifted from movies rather than from experience
She keeps looking at the jury instead of the person asking questions
She keeps playing the blame game—pointing fingers, throwing everyone under the bus, and claiming that everyone is out to get her
This last point, especially, is a problem for Scamber Turd. People who have zero dog in the fight are consistently siding with Johnny Depp’s version of events. Witnesses for her side end up being subtly siding with Depp upon cross-examination. There comes a point when you cannot accuse every single person of lying and being against you when some like the former TMZ employee risk actively being damaged by coming forward are siding with Depp left and right.
Today, I was honestly surprised when Camille didn’t go down the list of everyone who had taken the stand during the trial and ask Scamber Turd how or why they could possibly be lying—including her own “best friend,” her sister, or the Warner Bros president who claims that Scamber Turd’s career was in decline before the court case came about because of lack of chemistry with Aquaman star, Jason Mamoa.
So, is Scamber Turd a liar? Probably, yes.
Does that automatically mean Johnny Depp is telling the whole truth, all the truth, and nothing but the truth? Not necessarily, but the amount of consistency between his telling and everyone else’s accounts helps with that possibility.

Let me start by saying that before the trial, I had limited knowledge regarding the plaintiff and the defendant. I was also unimpressed by the crowds that formed along the outside of the courthouse.
I believe that Amber Heard was seen as a liar because she was repeatedly caught in lie after lie during the trial. She also seemed to be quite melodramatic, and she actually appeared to try to cry, but there were no tears.
Johnny, on the other hand, was painfully honest and sincere. He did not “play” to the jury either. His answers were straightforward and concise. This made him seem much more honest than she.
These are just a few of the reasons the jury made the decision they did. I personally didn’t care either way, and I watched it because I enjoy actual reality television. At the end of testimony, I agreed with the jury.

I knew she was lying when she said ice and make up covered her broken nose and bruising. I’ve been hit by a man multiple times wearing ONE ring (not many) and not only would ice and make up do nothing, even in a darkish place and 50ft it was obvious I had injuries. My eyes were swollen shut and black and purple. My nose was crooked. My lips were swollen and cut. My cheekbones were awfully swollen (due to fractures). I also had cuts on my eyes, bridge of nose and cheeks:jaw due to the ring. Three weeks later make up wouldn’t have covers it let alone the same day. It’s bollocks. Also there is no way in hell I or any abused person (I volunteer at a refuge) would speak to their abuser the way she did. She jeered at him. Not victim does that. They shy away, stay quiet and hope the abuser loses interest as they are terrified anything they say will get them hit again. They sure as hell don’t follow them room from room. They try to hide in a bathroom (normally only room with a door that locks).  I’m sorry but that proved to me and most women and men who had been abused that she was a liar. I’m a survivor and it took my all just to stand in court and speak. I had a screen and still struggled. She sat staring at him all the time. I couldn’t do that. It's simple: watch a few minutes of her testimony on YouTube and you'll see she's lying.  She is one of the WORST liars I've ever seen. I've watched little kids with chocolate all over their faces try to insist they didn't eat any and she is even worse!  She's a genuinely TERRIBLE actress. So in addition to being a bad liar she can't even remember the story she's made up and keeps stopping at the most critical moments no one would stop at if the story really happened.  And she makes these really extreme psycho faces. They're really scary but in an 'I'm so crazy you don't want ANYTHING to do with me' kind of way.  She contradicts herself to such an extreme degree. She'll swear something never happened and then there's a recording of her describing it happening.  And she literally pooped in his bed. Like actually defecated and her poop is not pretty. Firstly probably because he has high profile long term relationships with women (Vanessa Paradis & Kate Moss) who are willing to go on oath and say he was never violent. Are we supposed to believe these women are perjuring themselves in front of the world to lie for him? Or is it more likely they’re telling the truth? While she has exes who back Depp’s claims that she was abusive. Secondly it seems as if she is/was a z lister who attached herself to a cash cow & now is hell bent on getting as much of that money as she can. Honestly, having paid attention to the trial testimony probably has a lot to do with it. The parts where there was audio of Amber making fun of him for being hurt, and telling him to go ahead and speak about it and that he would never be believed, and outright gaslighting him about her punching him. Oh, and outright lying about photos and making up shit that he supposedly did to Kate Moss, which backfired spectacularly.
That right there is absolutely the difference. Some people paid attention and formed an opinion based on that, some people decided what their opinion was based entirely on their confirmation bias.
I see a whole lot of talk about believing victims, and a whole lot of claims that it applies when the victim is a man as well, but a lot of folks are suspiciously silent whenever there’s a male victim (if they aren’t just pulling the same shit that’s been pulled on women since forever).
That said, the trial absolutely is going to hurt women, but it’s pretty much entirely because of how HEARD acted. Oh, and 4chan bros being on their shit again.

I don’t personally know them, so I can never say with a hundred percent certainty what did or did not occur, but I can sure tell you what seems credible, and what doesn’t.  Let us suppose for a moment here, that everything Amber declared happened really did happen. It seems decidedly odd, that she would be so quick to document spilled wine, arguments and minor bruises, but never document broken noses, split lips, cut up feet and hands.  It is odd that she did not even get a checkup after being raped with a bottle, especially that she testified she was bleeding.  She clearly lied about the 7 million dollars settlement money. She has said publicly that she donated it, and she hasn’t. I am not inclined to believe that she doesn’t understand the difference between promising to do something and actually doing it.  Despite being an actress she failed to squeeze out a single tear during this trial, and she is only “close to crying” when she is questioned by her own team, when she is cross-examined she becomes very matter of fact and combative. If retelling the story stresses you out then it stresses you out, it doesn’t intermittently stress you out. It does not seem genuine.  Also, her claims seem very over the top. For a guy who has several previous partners declare that he never raised a hand on them, was never physically violent with them to rape someone with a bottle is a tremendous step up. If you followed the trial, it will be plainly obvious that at least part of her story are fabrications. I’m not going to go into each piece of evidence, but for example, there were two identical pictures taken at the same time but one had been edited to include facial bruising.  Once a person is caught lying about parts of their story, the entire account comes into question.  On top of that, Heard had vowed to donate the money she was awarded following their first trial to charity, and she never did. She wanted to look like a good guy but didn’t actually want to donate anything. This fact said a whole lot about her character and made anyone watching side with Johnny. Because she is. She has the history of beating her ex partners and was arrested for domestic abuse on her ex wife. He has no history of it at all. You don’t suddenly become an abuser, it is a pattern behaviour that you have from the beginning of your dating life. Being an alcoholic and addict does not make you an abuser. She is a narcissist – I have worked with and studied them for years. According to her everyone is wrong and she is right. All the experts and witnesses for Johnny’s side are lying according to her. That is what narcissists say. They deflect, they gaslight. Exactly what she is doing. Also she never acts like a real victim would, she sits there and smirks and smiles when Johnny details his side and the abuse she hurled at him and the abuse she hurled at her sister, she is sitting there almost giddy hearing about the abuse she put her own sister through. Because after weeks of testimony, witnesses and evidence Johnny Depp comes off as more credible. Throughout the trial Amber Heard quite often appeared to be nervous, deceptive & evasive. There’s some people I’ve crossed paths with that turned out to be incredible liars. I have to admit that a few of them had fooled me much too easily. We had an employee that was robbing the business blind and after questioning them I was convinced it was someone else. Until I caught her in the act. Amber Heard doesn’t come close to having the expertise [code for “ acting ability”] required to convince the jury that she’s not at fault.

It’s not just Reddit , a lot of other Social Media Sites are leaning heavily in favor of Depp as well. Twitter also appears to have a greater percentage of users that are Pro-Depp. That’s not to say that Amber Heard doesn’t have any support out there…she does! And a great deal of them believe that Johnny Depp physically assaulted Ms. Heard. I’ve read some of her supporters comments here in both Twitter and Quora.
I’m not trying to imply that Johnny Depp has convinced the jury of Amber’s culpability…by no means is this a slam dunk for Team Depp. We may all be surprised at the verdict! But I don’t think so. Thanks for the question!

This is my opinion.
When Amber was first on the stand, she acted-out when she didn’t need to. She made exaggerated faces, overacted, and faked crying. It was obvious to everyone.
That does not mean that she was lying, it means that she did a poor job at trying to get her message across. If she was being truthful and honest, then the bad acting made it appear as if she was lying.
Most people do not over-emote when they tell a story, even if the story is about something tragic that happened to them. This is especially true if time has gone by and that person has told the same story a number of times. This was the case with Amber.
Since then, I believe that her lawyers told her to cut the acting. After that, she has been more believable when on the stand, but it is probably now too late.
I feel bad for her, only if she has been telling the truth because she sabotaged her case with the over-emoting. The constant head swiveling to look at the jury didn’t help either. It made her look nuts.
In contrast, Johnny Depp kept a calm, even demeanor throughout, even during the times that he is telling a very uncomfortable story. In reality, he may or may not be telling the truth, but he is more believable because of his more natural thoughtful style and delivery.

To me a few things are clear. Johnny Depp is a deeply flawed human being that has succumbed to his darkest vices, namely drugs and alcohol. Also true, Amber Heard is a deeply flawed human being that is most likely a gold digger and opportunist. Her witnesses weren’t convincing and some came off looking crazy. She wasn’t a convincing witness and her digital expert couldn’t explain why there were two pictures taken at the exact same moment, yet one showed her with “bruises” and one didn’t. To me, it was clear that one was doctored and one was not.  Her side didn’t put on any witnesses that proved Depp had been violent with her and his side was able to poke serious holes in her story. Her attorney’s were terrible. I’m not sure if what their strategy was beyond being argumentative. of course I knew JD, and enjoyed many of his films over the years ….. BUT, to me, he’s just an actor. I’m certainly no ‘fan’.
I was flicking through the TV and caught the trial and AH was testifying …. And I had NEVER seen such obvious lies and attempt at manipulation IN MY LIFE!!
I’m not a body language scholar .. just an ordinary person who’s every sense was screaming that she was ‘off’ ……BIG TIME.

BUT OF COURSE they saw the same thing … as did the overwhelming majority of those who viewed. That soooo many people had the same gut reaction is telling!! AH was THAT obvious a fake.
But it wasn’t just the gut reaction, there was PLENTY of compelling evidence to reinforce that instinct (tapes of her taunting etc)
conversely, JD came across as a fallible fool (I think he was an idiot to allow sooo many of Ambers ‘hangers on’ friends to live in his property at his expense). He is clearly a substance abuser and a flawed soul with a temper which we saw him take out on INanimate objects. BUT he owned up to his faults, and his instinct was to extricate himself from the situation when things were heated. He’s NO saint ….. and I’m sure he omitted things occasionally BUT he laid his soul bare and was credible and compelling.

At first I thought the whole restraining order was same old she’s trying to get more money. But then she promised to donate all 7 million. What woman who says she gets beaten in anger,is going to bang on a bedroom door demanding her abusive husband come out and finish the fight?  Secondly, she did not write the opinion piece, she got the ACLU to write it with input from her lawyer saying don’t use Johnnys name and don’t say this and then she said she wanted it to be printed to coincide with the release of Aquaman! A little publicity for the actress? And she promised the ACLU half of her settlement and did not pay it. She said she could not because Johnny sued her, but he did not sue her until a year or more after he paid the divorce settlement.  And thirdly, she had TMZ, tabloid news , notified that she would be filing a restraining order so be in so and so courtroom and get pictures of her bruise. The reporter testified to that. Her mother is texting him saying don’t be mad at her, her lawyer made her file the restraining orderso she would not be homeless don’t be mad, it wasn’t her. And he responded that it’s my life my livelihood, it affects my kids!What  There is lots of other stuff but those three got me. I think they both had issues, but she did not convince me or the jury that the opinion piece she had written to tie in with her movie release , was true about being beaten. What a shame she was not trying to save her marriage by following their therapist’s suggestion to tape their fights. On the stand, Amber Heard proved incapable of telling consistent, plausible or in many cases even possible accounts of violence perpetrated by Johnny Depp. She not only dismissed her alleged injuries as, “for me(she shrugged) not that bad” she also failed to provide medical reports or eye witnesses to substantiate her claims of injury. Unbiased testimony from several police officers were also unable to verify her claims. Ultimately and equally compelling were the audio tapes that reveal in her own words that she starts physical fights, cannot promise it won’t happen again, while mocking Depp for running from her violence and whining about her hitting him. She deliberately manufactured false evidence by manipulating/photo-shopping a picture of her alleged injury and submitted it to the press. She also submitted an edited video to TMZ and lied about it on the stand. I think the last straw on an already collapsing back of the camel was her blatant lie regarding her claim to have donated $7 million to charity. Her attempt to play with the meaning of the words pledge/donate revealed her as a manipulative liar and likely a gold digger. These are most of the reasons she was not believed. Her atrocious acting on the stand, while otherwise smirking or laughing when unaware of the camera during the trial are why she will likely never be paid to act, again.

Did you watch her testimony? She could turn her emotions on a dime, and failed to convince all but her most die-hard supporters she was a victim.  The taped evidence of Mr. Depp slamming cupboard doors, and ranting and raving are certainly incriminating - however, having my own temper, I just did that myself over the last weekend (no, I’m not “proud”, but the loud noise helped alleviate some of my anger). People express their anger in various ways, and sometimes, a full-on slamming of doors helps more than rational discourse. He was filmed in a vulnerable moment - and I’d really hate to do that to my spouse, or have him do it to me, as it indicates a lack of respect. The fact she was laughing in the audio leans to a lack of fear of his violence.  Did something happen to her? Possibly, but she was certainly the abuser more than the victim - which was the whole point of the trial.

For anyone who watched even part of the trial, Ms. Heard was caught out in too many places showing that she actively sought to make Mr. Depp react violently to her. Which for the most part he refused to do. She recorded him trying to leave, to defuse the situation, which included her needling him verbally trying to get him to hit her. And “apologizing” for hitting but not “punching” him.
Mr. Depp admitted to his faults: drug use, too much alcohol and, yes, taking his frustrations out on defenseless kitchen cabinets. But not one of his exs, including the mother of his children, came forward to support Ms. Heard’s claims. When you consider the support of the #MeToo movement, this is odd. Not one other woman in his life came forward and leveled the same accusations. Look at Bill Cosby, at Harvey Weinstein … dozens of people stepped forward to add to the weight of the accusations. And they were real movers and shakers in Hollyweird. Mr. Depp has money, but he’s never been a part of that level in Hollywood.
And as other sufferers of abuse have noted, she played to the jury and the cameras, he was quiet, somewhat amusing, and direct; much more the abuser and the abused than the way she told the story and got caught out several times being untruthful.

To be fair I haven’t exactly kept up with the trial. It’s not that intresting to me and I don’t really have an opionion on this. However, it’s for two reasons. The first is Depp has a lot more evdience in his favor than Heard did. He had pictures of him in the doctor’s office with bruises and scratches and being beat up by Heard. The second is that Depp comes off as a way more likeable person than Heard. He could be sarcastic sometimes and would joke about some things during the trial which people liked. Depp also had a psychologists come in and dignoise Heard with borderline personality disorder and or histronic personality disorder. One of those two or both. Since she was dignoised with a mental illness in the dramatic cluster of personality disorders and Depp wasn’t that works in his favor as well.

Amber produced a whole lot of documentation. She took pictures, videos and captured text exchanges between them. It is clear that she intended, at the time of capture, to portray Johnny as an abuser. Unfortunately for her claims, the evidence she provided clearly shows her as an abuser. She unequivocally hit him, taunted him, and escalated conflicts. At the same time, the evidence shows Johnny de-escalating, trying to get away, locking himself in bathrooms, and being protected by third-parties from her crazy.
She claims that Johnny punched her, closed fist, with rings on his fingers, in the face more times than she could count, even breaking her nose, but she cannot produce a single image of the damage such an activity would obviously cause, and she never sought medical attention.
The fact that she made a hobby of trying to capture all of Johnny’s abuse, but failed to produce any evidence of that… and not just that it doesn’t show evidence of Johnny being an abuser, but that it clearly shows she is an abuser… yeah, she’s lying.

What is more telling though are the comments on Youtube, specifically from women. Look at any videos about the case, more than half of the comments are from women who say that they are “survivors of domestic abuse” from male partners and can identify in Amber Heard the same characteristics that they have seen in the men who abused them. They say that they can relate to Johnny Depp and his behaviours and personality, as a fellow victim.
There are so many examples to choose from, it is just continuous, but I will pick the easiest to explain to illustrate.
She claimed that Johnny Depp had pinned her down on the bed and held her down with one hand, whilst repeatedly smashing her face with the other. He grabbed clumps of her hair and ripped it out. It was so brutal an attack that his feet damaged the heavy-wood bed frame. Ok, that’s her story.
Now, what evidence was produced?
She took a photo of the damaged bedframe. This has been refuted by a wood expert who suggests that the bed cannot be damaged by compression forces, it is only by splitting the wood with something sharp that you can do this. It happens that there’s a knife laying casually on the bed in the photo that Amber Heard took.
She took photos of her “bruise” on her cheek. From being repeatedly pulped in the face she had a slight bruise and a slight cut on her lip.
She said the photos were all taken on the same day under different lighting conditions. When confronted with two of the photos she changed her mind and said that one might have been taken the next day “because I can see sunlight in the background, so maybe it was taken during the day.” Then she said that actually that photo had been taken in front of a mirror with the lights on the mirror turned on.
Two of the photos she said this about match exactly except for the brightness and contrast and saturation. Everything else is pixel perfect the same. Every shade of colour in her hair, every strand of hair, every single pixel is the same except for the perceivable colours. It is literally impossible to take two photographs that identical. They are the same photo but one was edited. Further, the photos have the same filename and time-taken-timestamp. Some people have overlayed these two images to show the point.
At the time of the alleged brutal attack by Johnny Depp he had a plaster cast on one of his hands so he could not have possibly held her down and smashed her face without damaging the cast and causing immense pain to himself too.
Amber Heard appeared on a TV show the next day, the James Corden show. You can see the clip on Youtube.
In this example she tells that he brutally assaulted her, yet she only tried to show a minor cut on her lip and a slight shine on her cheek, and even this evidence was very clearly faked. She submitted edited photos as evidence and then claimed they were not edited. She took a photo of the bed but failed to take a photo of her smashed-up face and then appeared on TV the next day without any such injuries. She said the makeup covered it up. Really? Then it was not as brutal as you’re saying it was and if you lied about the brutally what else did you lie about? Maybe that it happened at all?
This is one example, there are many others. Add to that the response from other (female) survivors of domestic abuse and it’s very compelling, and that is before we even get to the other six weeks of the trial.

They are big fans of Johny Depp. That is my opinion. I didn’t follow that case much. I saw weird things on both sides from the little I did in articles. They are both trained in acting. I’ve seen something televised live in the past prior to their marriage that makes me skeptical, but doesn’t really tell what is the truth. However, I believe if something were to be wrong, somebody would still get consequences from their actions in some way. It is not about the trial itself, but about reaping and sowing. From my knowledge, I didn’t even know Amber Heard’s name until this case. I saw her in Aquaman, and I saw her in something after that, but I didn’t ever recognize her name. Nobody knows who she is. Everyone knows Johnny Depp, and I think because he is a fan favorite, and the way he acts, he is preferred.
Most of his characters are very similar: he has a certain personality in his characters. I did not watch all of his movies. I really can’t say what all of his older roles were like in the early years, but the last 20 years, they probably are somewhat similar. Maybe the movies before have some similarities being awkward and weird. They are animated in a sense. People like his characters because of his portrayals.
I am not sure that people actually know him as a person. People will hear about these people behind the scenes, but usually do not meet them.
It is quite possible that reports of what we heard on facebook or news articles about this case was true, but we don’t know all about it. I did not dare watch it, as i had other things to do.
But it is true that Amber Heard is somebody I never really heard about. I did not think I had seen her very much at all. As far as I know, she is a new actress. I might be wrong. But people might really favor Johnny Depp just because they know him and he is good at acting. He has many favorite films (Edward Scissorhands, Pirates movies, one with Leonardo Dicaprio I believe, the movie with haunted horseman (though I am not sure that is my favorite), his depiction of willy wonka, etc).
I don’t think Amber Heard in Aquaman was a bad role, but I did not like Aquaman overall. it was too slow and like some kind of drama more than a superhero action. the only things I have seen her in she seems like her characters are dramatic whereas johnny depp’s roles have more to the characters.
It does not necessarily mean the person cannot act. It is more depth to the character, which means would mean that it has to do with everyone involved.
Anyways, I really think people who take Johnny’s side really believe him at least partially because they favor him. I did not watch the case. It is not only on Reddit. This happened even prior to the case actually being in court. It was all over facebook in comments sections. I do not favor either of them.
I did see some behavior on tv before that was live and some interviews that I did not like. I think that we should not assume that people in the spotlight are super innocent or opposite just because they seem good on-screen. People can also do good interviews as well. We cannot vouch for who they are as people. I really think they are both not really completely without fault to some degree (despite what the case was for). I know it was a defamation trial.

I don't think 'everyone’ is convinced but JD is by far-and-large more celebrity-popular than AH and that has a huge bearing on opinions (especially the fortunate who never spent hours trying to understand psychological abuse). Because the evidence at trial overwhelmingly supported Depp and proved Heard was lying.
There were at least 5 independent witnesses who testified about the night Heard claimed Depp hit her in the face and gave her a black eye. Not one testified Heard had any visible injury. These included a doorman at the building, 2 police officers, and a doctor and nurse at the hospital to which both Depp and Heard were taken. The doctor and nurse both examined Heard and found no injury. If she had been bruised ir had a black eye, these medical professionals would aveseen and reported it. Depp plainly was injured, as one of his fingers was partially severed and had to be sewn back on. The police were responding to a domestic violence complaint and were looking for signs if injury or violence to Heard. They saw none.

He finally left me alone when the officer threatened to arrest him.
I am also a victim of rape. I was raped by a friend of a friend. Not violently, like Hollywood shows, but I was still raped. I have seen my rapist in public a few times. Both times, was at a mutual friends gathering. All 3 times I have seen my rapist, I immediately, without even thinking about it, recoiled, refused to look at him, and basically “hid” from him. I didn’t want him to see me. He called me a liar and a bitch, so why would I want to see him again? When Amber said on the stand, “he knows he’s guilty. Why else won’t be look at me?” Why won’t JD look at her, because JD IS the VICTIM, AH is the ABUSER!!! It found that  actor Amber Heard had defamed  her ex-husband,  actor Johnny Depp , in three separate statements, delivering a $15 million verdict Wednesday on a lawsuit he filed against her. But similarly, the $2 million award against Depp in Heard’s countersuit of defamation was wrong too, in my opinion.  The jury should have instead held neither side liable in  Depp’s $50 million suit against Heard  and Heard’s $100 million countersuit. I think it comes down to two large groups of people that have a bit of overlap.
The first group consists of Johnny Depp fans. Depp is one of the most popular and beloved actors in the World, whereas Amber Heard is comparatively unknown. They don’t want to associate one of their favourite actors with the notion that he might have done some really awful things. It’s easier to form an opinion against a person you don’t know much about, than one you are familiar with and already like.
The second group consists of guys who want to believe that men are the victims of false allegations from women. They really need at least one high profile example of a woman to have been lying to justify their beliefs that men are the real victims, and thus already have a bias against any woman coming forward with an allegation against a celebrity.
Both groups are thus heavily invested in the idea that Depp is the innocent and Heard is lying. This bias overwhelms any of the realities of the case, rendering them incapable of taking any of it in a rational or impartial way.
On top of this, reddit is very good at providing anonymous strangers the opportunity to speak authoritatively whilst lacking any credentials or evidence. We tend to believe a highly upvoted comment because it is a popular opinion, not because it is truthful. We also tend to upvote opinions that reflect our own, which results in an echo chamber where the same opinions get elevated. A lot of outright falsehoods and factually incorrect information end up getting thousands of upvotes simply because ignorant people like to have their already formed opinions validated. Meanwhile, people who have been out of the loop see the most popular voted opinions, and take this to mean the opinion has been validated as fact.

When people are dislikable, it becomes very difficult to be objective and/or look at the situation objectively. Especially, when the plaintiff is as likable, 'believable' as Johnny Depp.  But what I can't seem to get past is how our entire country is disregarding the very real fact that he was found GUILTY in the UK; by judges, not a jury on more than 10 charges of abuse.  Anther part of the reason is because of how abusive AH is. All of the evidence that is provided, which is a lot, is actually such a TINY snippit of their relationship. The fact of the matter is, they were both abusive. As emotional and verbal abuse is STILL abuse; it shouldn't be a streth for us to recognize that anyone who is verbally and emotionally abusive could also be physically abusive, if only on occasion.  The fact of the matter is johnny depp was so inebrieted on alcohol and f'd up on drugs that clearly he wouldn't be in a clear state of mind. People who are on drugs/alcho often act out of character, as well as violently. I don't doubt that this happened whatsoever. It's common. Just because he doesn't remember it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Unfort, for amber, she appears to be VERY dishonest and streth the truth...for that reason, we are highly skeptical of whether or not she was physically abused. That and the photos don't show bruises, but that still doesn't mean she wan't abused.  It should never be hard to conceive that someone who was found guilty of 10+ counts of abuse by judges in the UK, someone who was reguarly totally blacked out on drugs and alchol was abusive. Infact, if these facts were presented outside of this case, most ppl would NEVER consider johnny to not have been abusive. There's just too much evidence to prove otherwise. So it goes back 2 the power of social media and the power of our dislike for Amber Heard that blinds us to the potential reality of depps abuse.

Not everyone. There are a surprising number of threads on Reddit that look at the case as a whole, rather than the edited, manipulated footage ala Youtube, Tik Tok (which Depp recently joined, oh goody), Instagram, etc.
Look up the UK trial. It was determined that Depp did physically abuse Heard on at least 12 occasions. He has tried to overturn that verdict but no luck. Once again, this was a lawsuit that HE filed, this time was against The Sun newspaper, for calling him a wife-beater. He loves filing lawsuits and has a history of blaming others rather than taking responsibility.
There are other things to consider regarding Depp – years of substance abuse issues, aggressive behavior (punching a security guard, damaging property, etc), misogyny (his texts and emails show that he referred to women, not just Amber Heard – as sluts, whores, cunts, gold diggers, etc, and that is the cleaned-up version), and the fact that he has supported Roman Polanski, Harvey Weinstein, and most notably, is “best friends” with Marilyn Manson (they even have matching tattoos).
When his lawyers stated during the defamation trial that he respects women, it was ridiculous because it is clear that he hates women, or at the very least has a Madonna/Whore complex. His texts about killing Heard, burning her, and raping her corpse (which was BEFORE they married, by the way) should have been a major red flag. This was never about clearing his name, IMO – the op-ed didn’t mention his name, never accused him of anything, but he sued her anyway. It was also never proven that the op-ed negatively impacted his career – his own behavior did that. I can’t believe people aren’t seeing this for what it was – a power play by a famous actor against his ex-wife, who doesn’t have the money, power, or resources that he has. When she filed for divorce (and filed a restraining order), Depp texted to a friend, “She’s begging for global humiliation – and she’s going to get it”, plus a bunch of other unpleasant things. He wanted to humiliate her and destroy her, and the sick thing is, it worked.
Heard was never “found” to be lying. She was accused of it multiple times, but Depp’s team never revealed proof. Even the “recording” which the Depp fans claim is proof was edited, and Heard did not deny that in the last year of the relationship, she started confronting him, and fighting back, verbally and physically. It is truly shocking to see how every bit of her testimony has been scrutinized, mocked, etc, while his hasn’t received nearly as much attention. If you compare his testimony here to his testimony in the UK trial, or to even his text messages, the discrepencies are striking. And his fans still defend him – I’m convinced that if he had physically attacked her in the courtroom, they would still make excuses for him. His attorneys made several insulting statements/questions, “Why didn’t you leave?”, “Why didn’t you seek medical attention?”, or if she were a true abuse survivor, she would have suffered more injuries, and my personal favorite, “No one is supporting Amber Heard except her sister.” How ignorant – of course, he has more support, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t be an abuser.
The judge blocked evidence (including medical evidence) and the jury was obviously tainted – not only because they were not sequestered, but one juror even received a text message from his wife that stated “Amber is psychotic” and was permitted to remain on the jury when he should have been dismissed. People seemed to forget that this was a trial – not a popularity contest, not entertainment. Depp and his lawyers wanted this trial to be live and public – while Heard’s attorneys were opposed to that, and seeing how Heard has been mocked, and bullied, on social media, it’s easy to see why. She was at a disadvantage throughout this. No matter what she does, people are going to find fault with it. If she breathes, she’s wrong. She did not deserve to be treated this way, and people don’t realize that this case is NOT going to help abuse survivors.
Depp’s “fans” undoubtedly made things worse, and still are. Acting as if he’s still a teen idol when in fact he’s a man nearing his 60s with a long history of addiction and behavioral issues, acting as if they know him personally and that he walks on water, etc. They have harassed Heard, and have even stooped to making up lies about her around social media. Seeing comments like, “I wouldn’t blame him if he did beat her, because she provoked him,” and (regarding him allegedly sexually assaulting Heard), “What did he do wrong? I wouldn’t mind if he did that to me, it’s every woman’s fantasy” – it’s sickening, and I’m convinced that Depp is well aware of what his fans are doing. In general, people don’t like the idea of their funny childhood pirate movie actor being a domestic abuser. It’s hard to shake that image of a person when your only exposure to them is in this unambiguously positive light, and it doesn’t help that his defense team exploited social media to influence the decision and right-wing people took the opportunity to meme the hell out of the trial to make Amber Heard look like a lying bitch to the general public, to frame the MeToo movement as consisting of similarly delusional and deceptive sorts of people.
Look, I don’t know either of these people, and I frankly don’t trust most media sources enough to really dig into the actual evidence put forth during the trial. I don’t know if Depp is truly guilty or innocent. What I do know is that the impact of the social media exposure of the trial and the subsequent violent demolition of Amber Heard’s reputation is going to have one hell of a chilling effect on victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence, what with all these crazy terminally-online sorts thinking every woman with a story of abuse is the same sort of cringy liar they think Amber Heard is, and that is going to hurt a lot of people.

Thank God the sad and sorry saga of the Depp and Heard trial is over.   The whole thing was sickening, particularly the way people took sides (usually Depp’s) and villainised one or the other. Just about everyone had an opinion based on their own perceptions.  The only thing clear to me from the whole trial is that they are both sick and wounded people, that shared a violent, chaotic relationship.  Depp supporters are making it sound like he was entirely innocent, and she is evil incarnate. Give me a break, neither was innocent. I feel sorry for both of them... I also find it disturbing that the world became so hooked and invested in this drama. Jeez, Ukraine was dropped from the front pages over the sad sight of two sick, troubled actors!  What a shallow and tawdry world this can be sometimes.

Everything thinks that Amber H is lying because she is already a known liar. She smuggled her dogs into Australia by forging legal documents. She was stupid enough to book the dogs in for a bath and clip, and walked them around Surfers Paradise, where Johnny was filming Pirates. She was reported and told that if the dogs weren’t sent back to America, they’d be PTS. Australians were outraged as we have lots of tiny birds and animals living in the Lamington Plateau where she lived with the dogs. She placed a very delicate ecology at risk. You can see their apology on YouTube. Amber later asked one of their workers to ‘confess’ and take the blame, but instead he went public with her dastardly deed and everyone saw the unmasked Amber.
As well, if you watch her performance at the trial in USA (not the British trial) you will see that she doesn’t look sincere. This might be a case of simply ugly-crying, and she may be telling the truth – but she lacked the ring of truth. The jury later said that they didn’t believe her.
Fwiw, the hard left feminists did try to defend her, because she undoubtedly was abused. Every woman who lives with drug addiction or alcoholism is abused. The further problem though, was the charm of Johnny Depp. He could make us believe that he wasn’t that bad.
Johnny Depp is a loveable comedian. He joked about his drinking – a megapint. He joked about the little box that looked like it could hold some cocaine. The jury laughed. He admitted that he needs to control his drinking and his drug abuse. The jury were touched.
Amber H also admitted to drinking and doing drugs. She looked hypocritical. No one was touched. She hadn’t bothered to control her habits to help him with his. They were both abusive. Their audience loved him and hated her.
No one believed her because she was lying. Johnny D was lying too – but everyone wanted to believe him – and therein lies the difference. Amber is not loveable. Johnny is.
I can’t understand why the judge didn’t fine them both a dollar and send them both home. While people were dying in Ukraine, the media foisted this circus on us. That in itself was an outrage.
I’m not sure why she keeps on digging the hole. I’m not sure why he keeps flaunting himself.
I don’t watch Reddit, but he’s lying. He’s a drug addicted drunk. He’d have no idea what he’s doing or what he’s done. He’s passed out most of the time. His staff told him that he kicked her and he cried. So yes – he has hit a woman. The countless times that he’s trashed a hotel also go to his alcoholic rages. The problem is that she’s not an innocent victim. She’s a participant.
People believe him because they don’t like her. It’s that easy.

Oh, Reddit too? I guarantee that no one important is convinced Depp is telling the truth and domestic abuse experts do not feel Amber is lying. I believe her too. She’s not the “perfect victim” some think she should be. She’s strong, and stood up to Depp at times, but she also hid her abuse by Depp for many years before ever speaking about it, besides to her therapist and doctor. Depp lied 83 times on the stand! He fought to keep evidence against him out of the trial and this is what people don’t understand. He has produced a ridiculous narrative and lied SO much and those without critical thinking skills fell for it. I look deeper into things. I don’t always side with the more popular opinion. I look at facts instead, like the domestic abuse experts, and I believe Amber. Depp tried to control nearly every aspect of her life! If you go on any social media site, most are siding with Depp, but slowly, as more proof of Depp’s actions are uncovered, like how he manipulated photos, and edited out key context in his recordings of their fights, more and more people who once supported him, are changing their position and now support Amber. A lot of people remain under his “spell” still, are loyal to him no matter how horrible he is, and in general, have a very distorted view on the situation. Like this.

Some people are a little behind on their research I guess or maybe they’re just misogynists. Or maybe they can’t let go of their teenage crush fantasies and need to see him as the “lovable pirate” and “nice guy”.🤮 The real Johnny Depp wanted to drown, burn, and then rape the corpse of his wife. He’s a misogynistic, disgusting wifebeater. Anyone who finds those vile texts cute or funny is sick in the head. They are literally abuse apologists.
