Who was the white homeless guy sitting on the sidewalk sleeping in Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” video?

Well, first, I thought it might be 1930s / 1940s singer Cab Calloway but my internet search showed clearly it was not him. (He did later appear in Janet’s “Alright” video in 1990).

In fact, my whole Internet search, as far as this man goes, was a failure. Only mention is what we already know. Michael tosses the coin into his cup,

everything lights up and the man awakes, cleaned up and wearing a white suit.

I did find out the name of the girl on the Billboard (yes it’s 2 faces but same girl), her name is Raquel Pena.

She was 21 then. She’s also the girl in Bryan Adams’, “Cuts Like A Knife” video.
The video’s director was Steve Barron, who directed many vids in the 1980s.

Just before this, he had directed Human Leauge’s, “Don’t You Want Me” in 1982.
But, he likely could be the only person who could tell you who the man was, maybe Rachel too. I couldn’t even find the name of the guy who spies on Michael in the video.

Whoever the the man in the white suit was, it’s been 38 years, he is likely wearing white somewhere else.
We know this much, you saw him, where you are now Michael. 🌌
