ALL hard anodized cookware is ALSO nonstick. Aluminum is a fabulous conveyor of warmth, however is too delicate a metal to make solid cookware. So they hard anodize it with a substance procedure that makes a completed item twice as solid as stainless steel. So a hard anodized dish implies it is made completely of hard anodized aluminum, then almost dependably has a nonstick covering connected to the cooking surface. Nonstick dish that are NOT hard anodized are typically made of an aluminum center with a stainless or artistic covering on the outside and a nonstick covering within. Truth be told, all container other than cast iron or copper are made of aluminum in some design. Stainless skillet have aluminum centers all through the container or an aluminum base at the base. Without the aluminum, they would not warm appropriately or equally. in the 80’s, Aluminum was thought to conceivably be identified with alzheimers. This is presently known not untrue. Indeed, the counter perspirant we utilize ordinary is made of aluminum, as is tin thwart that we wrap our scraps in, similar to the jars we store our green beans and peas in. On the off chance that you are getting some information about dish with a hard anodized COOKING SURFACE without a nonstick covering, then you have to be sure found an uncommon set. There are not very many out there any longer. The one and only I know of on the general market at this moment is Calphalon One. It is an imbued hard anodized surface, which has been implanted with a tiny bit of nonstick polymer. These are not nonstick dish, but rather they will stick somewhat less than stainless. You will in any case need to utilize oils and different fats to cook with, yet they will singe like stainless, and you can utilize metal utensils with them. To the extent safe, they are sheltered. More secure than nonstick is relative. Nonstick is likewise sheltered the length of you don’t warm the container more than 500 degrees. Simply pick a set that is overwhelming in the hand, with bolted handles. Get nonstick in the event that it suits your cooking style. The advantage of hard anodized nonstick is that it warms all the more equitably as far as possible up the sides as opposed to a modest little plate at the base.

Personally, I would go for cast iron. It will never be as non-stick as a freshly teflon’d pan, but with proper use it will be pretty close. The added benefits are that cast iron cookware is cheap, and performs very well in terms of evenly heating food.

What is the best non-stick pan to use with metal utensils? 08/10/20
None of your standard non stick pans can be used with metal utensils, washed with metal scourers or washed whilst hot.
If you do, the non stick coating will get damaged or scratched and if washed when hot, will warp.
Even ceramic coated pans, although more durable, will lose it’s non stick ability with rough treatment.
The best pan to use is a carbon steel wok.
It needs to be seasoned (heated under extremely high temperatures, then coated with a film of groundnut oil).
This process makes the wok non stick automatically and you can bang, bash, scrape and wallop the wok all day long and it will stay non stick.
Always wipe dry the wok after use as moisture may cause it to rust.

Non-Stick Cookware Set, Pots and Pans – 8-Piece Set
My answer is the same as Charles S. ’s. Cast iron.
Properly seasoned cast iron is almost as non-stick as new Teflon or equivalent. It is far more non-stick than older, more worn Teflon. It cannot be ruined by contact with metal utensils, and it can last several human lifetimes. A number of my cast iron pans were passed on to me by my grandmother, who set up housekeeping with them as a newlywed in 1911.
I guarantee Teflon won’t last like that.
Calphalon 10-Piece Pots and Pans Set, Nonstick Kitchen Cookware
The ONLY non-stick that I would use with metal utensils is Calphalon, and I prefer their Signature collection. I still use the set I bought when I became a Personal Chef seventeen years ago!

All the answers you have gotten are correct as far as they go. Cast iron is a good substitute though it is not completely non-stick. It is also heavy and for some of us, just not an option for daily use.
Ceramic coated pans with a heavy stainless steel bottom are similar to cast iron in that they are somewhat non-stick though not completely and can be used with metal utensils. You can still get an excellent sear and leave some fond on the bottom to deglaze for sauces since they can be heated to high temps.
They are really easy to clean, practically with a paper towel and, even better, oven proof to temps up to 500ºF. They are also dishwasher safe and PTFE PFOA free. But they are not super non-stick of you want to make crepes or omelettes or other foods requiring little to no oil. They say they are, but they’re not.
My recommendation is to get a minimum 10″–12″ ceramic coated pan for daily use. I have the Duralon® Ceramic Non-Stick Fry Pans from NuWave PIC – Precision Induction Cooktop . They’re not cheap like cast iron, though there are definitely more expensive ones out there, but however much the price definitely worth the cost.
I would also get cheap, 6″–8″ Teflon coated non-stock pans for making those crepes and omelettes and pony up for some quality, non-metallic spatulas. For this type of cooking, you’re not going to cook at high temps anyway and even if you do scratch them up by mistake or they wear out, they’re cheap enough to toss and replace.
This gives you the benefits of a relatively non-stick, easy to clean pan that can be used with metal utensils and your everyday super slippery non-stick pan for omelettes and crepes.

You can check and see if you can find any non-stick pans that the manufacturer says can be used with metal tools. I think some may say that. I don’t really believe them, but hey, maybe it’s OK. Or just use any cheap pan and replace it every year after you’ve ruined it.
