I don’t mean to offend, but you’re still not telling me what you want from this knife.
.
Does “hard use” mean you work on a farm, and will be doing those sorts of chores? Does it mean you want something for shelter-building and other bushcraft jobs that require a baton? Does it mean you’re a long-haul trucker who cuts pallet-ribbon? Does it mean you want to be ready for any self-defense scenario?
.
Again, I hope you won’t think I’m being rude. I just can’t answer your question, any more than I could answer: “What’s the best hard-use handgun?”, without knowing what that “hard use” might be.
.
If you can be specific, I’ll try to help.

Once again last time I answered this it was below $300 but my answer stands firms Fox Karambit. I’ve carried one for more than. Year and love it.

That’s a generous budget and you’ll find many high quality options. However, I’d suggest saving that budget for a high quality everyday carry knife that will see occasional use and which you can really take care of.
This is a bit like asking “what’s the best high end sports car to deliver pizzas?” Well, you’re going to wreck the value of your sports car, you won’t get very good gas mileage, and you probably won’t be able to fit that many pizzas, but apart from that, sure, a Bugatti Veyron would be nice.
For “hard use”, I’d get a decent inexpensive knife that otherwise met all of my criteria.
You don’t indicate the expected uses for this knife, but for hard use, you’d be well served by something from Spyderco’s value line such as the Tenacious.
If for some reason you dislike Spyderco (to each his own), Kershaw has essentially become synonymous with good quality inexpensive pocket knives. Check them out here: Kershaw Knives Gallery | Kershaw Knives
One other note – for really hard use, you want a fixed blade knife, not a folder. There are good options for every budget, from Morakniv on the low end, to Fallkniven on the high end.
TL;DR – Hard Use calls for a cheap fixed blade, not an expensive folder. Spend $12 on a Morakniv Companion.

It’s impossible to pick a “best” anything, especially knives. As pointed out by another Quoran, “hard use” is usually fixed blade territory, but you specifically asked for folders, so here’s a list of excellent choices.
*Zero Tolerance 0350
*Zero Tolerance 0200 (discontinued, but still widely available)
*Spyderco Manix 2
*Real Steel H1 Blue Sheep
*Ontario Rat 1
*Enlan EL01
*Kershaw Blur
*Benchmade Griptilian
*Benchmade Osborne
*Cold Steel SR1
*Gerber Strongarm
The list is literally endless, but those are all excellent choices.
I have most of the knives on the list. If I had to pick one for sheer brute strength, and “unbreakableness”, it’s the ZT0200. I’ve had mine for several years, and have literally beat it to death. I’ve tried to hurt it. It still holds a wicked edge, locks up tight, and begs for more.
Happy hunting!
