The dimensions & style of the handle vary a bit according to intended application, region, era etc.
Best I can tell you is, if you intend to build one, or purchase, make sure you are able to grip it adequately for your intended application. Myself personally, I like the design that is curved back at the end of the “handle” that keeps my hand from feeling like it could slide off in a power chop, and the pull back recovery, or follow through arc as it were. This particular handle shape combined with a longer blade was extremely effective on horseback. (Kopis-Falcata-Machaira) The Iberian Celt Falcata often had a similar handle shape, and often representing a horse head as did many of the *Greek* Kopis.

A bespoke sword or knife would be fitted to the hand of it’s owner. An off the shelf weapon would be sized to fit most hands.

I don’t know that there is a set standard for it, it has to be a width that is comfortable and long enough to cover the palm of the hand so it’s not squeezing the hand as it wraps around to protect the fingers. It’s definitely a beautiful design, many large knives and machetes have followed the blades design over the centuries.

The kopis sword was a one-handed weapon. A single-edged sword about 3 feet in length, with the blade curving forward and widening near the tip. Early examples had a blade length of up to 65 cm (25.6 inches) , making it almost equal in size to the spatha. Later Macedonian examples tended to be shorter with a blade length of about 48 cm (18.9 inches).
