If you want something that looks good all the time and is fabulous at most cooking tasks, get multi-ply stainless steel like All-Clad. They are expensive, but worth it. They don’t require any special care, can go in the dishwasher, cook evenly, etc. I have come to believe that even good quality non-stick pans are going to need to be replaced every couple of years. Because of that I no longer invest in expensive ones. I can get by with one non-stick skillet and a couple of cast iron pans. All the rest of my sauce pans, stock pots are either multi-ply stainless steel or enamel coated cast iron.
This is what works for me. Read lots of reviews. You will usually do better only buying the pieces that you need and will use, rather than whole sets. The more expensive pans will last a lifetime.

If the stainless steel gets worn out, or scratched, or stained, you can just refinish it. Just get one of those steel wool scouring pads, and scrape away any grime. You can use something like Bartender’s Buddy, or any other stainless steel polish to get it shiny again.
Copper pots will need to be polished to stay bright and shiny. General care is the same as stainless steel.
Cast iron just needs to be seasoned properly. It never really looks high quality, and shiny. It never really looks like a great showpiece. So, I’m not sure that this fulfills your need.
Overall, those fancy ceramic, enamel, stoneware, whatever colored non-stick pans always wear away, and then you can’t use the standard methods to refinish them. So they’re stuck that way.

Cast iron looks great, but it’s way too heavy for everyday use, chef’s would have arms like blacksmiths if they used cast iron. To get a pan to be non-stick I’ll use the basic Chinese carbon steel wok ($6 at the Chinese grocer) as an example. You can get them with a nice wooden handle and the more you use them the better they look. Here’s what you do for non-stick; on a gas burner heat the wok up until it gets real hot, say 5 minutes on high. You’ll notice it starts to change color. Take off the heat and throw in a teaspoon of salt. Get a thick wad of paper kitchen towel and rub the salt into the pan like you are sanding it down. Throw out the salt and then rub on a light film of oil, peanut is best as it tolerates high heat. Repeat this process three times. The pan is now “seasoned” and will be non-stick and look authentic. They will scratch and stain, but nothing stays new forever, most folks love the well used look and the patina on good functional pans that are fit for purpose.
