Yes….one of the most safest countries in Africa. Kampala the capital has almost all the conveniences any modern city has with the added advantages of low pollution, greenery and peace.
Most of Uganda is relatively safe other than the Northern part. Around Kampala and Southern Uganda is beautiful and relatively prosperous by Africa standards.
It is a safe country because the people are very kind and accepting. There is little murder or vicious crimes. Sure there are plenty of petty crime in a relatively poor country. Unfortunately the president has created a dictatorship and is exercising his power, torturing and killing his detractors, even those remaining in his government. I believe this is going to lead to more violence. We work with rural folks in Uganda and it is very disheartening.

Uganda is a very safe country to visit. Although Uganda has lived through a turbulent history, the country is safe, stable and welcoming. Ugandans’ hospitable nature is legendary! You will be warmly welcomed wherever you go by the country’s friendly residents.
I have lived in Uganda for all my 36 years and i can assure its not only safe but very interesting to live in.The best phrase to use in describing it is ‘NATURALLY ENDORED’.The Northern part endured a prolonged period of time but that is now over.Just like any society we go to work, celebrate our births, marriages and death. We go out dancing, drinking and play on the beaches around Lake Victoria when time and the weather permits it.We have a very creative and growing music industry that never fails to keep us on our feet.If you want to visit this country just come and enjoy the beauty that abounds. Uganda
Yes Uganda is safe… However I just got this Shocking news on them. The news desseminators have now become the news. Nation Media Group in Uganda is currently in the news after two employees of Uganda NTV staff were caught on the camera having sex in the office. Kevin Kaija, a producer of “Seeds of Gold” programme aired on NTV and Ann Nakawombe (photo below), a presenter at the same station, have been sacked after photos of them having sex in the studio leaked. NTV has also released a statement regarding the matter. The management claims that this is gross misconduct and that’s why they have been shown the door. Due to it’s extremely sexual nature I won’t post the pictures here, pls view it here instead

Compared to other African countries it is quite safe. However degree of safety depends on the location. For instance i observed that Arua (Northern Uganda) is much safer than Kampala.
Uganda is safe and home to one of the friendliest people on earth. As a Ugandan, all i can say is…any foreigner can easily adapt to the culture and social life however, the Ugandan community does not entertain homosexuality.
It’s nice to hear so many first-hand testimonies to the high level of safety in Uganda. I just want to point out how unsafe the country is for LGBT people, many who are assaulted and murdered simply for being who they were born to be. I would not set foot on Ugandan soil for that reason alone.
Uganda is a safe country by and large President Museveni so the weaknesses of previous regime’s regarding security so he really cracked the whip once he took power(that was 30 years ago) Yes people are mugged and killed but compared to Nairobi the rio of Africa Kampala is really safe
