  1. The Ka Bar is the old standard. One was issued to my uncle in 1943 during WWll. He brought it home and gave it to my father who used it to butcher cattle and hogs. After I got into the Teams he gave it to me and I had it for two tours in Vietnam. It is in a display case now but for 77 years it was in a Russell hand and used in two wars. You can buy more expensive and fancier knives but you wont find a better all around Naval Spec War knife than the ole KB. Several SEALS now make custom knives and tomahawks.
