I don’t see why it shouldn’t. Making cast iron cookware is a centuries (if not millennia)-old craft. It’s unlikely Koreans would screw it up.
If you’re worried about chemical residues from manufacturing: a good washing with hot water and detergent, followed by the obligatory burning in / seasoning will take care of that. That is the recommended procedure for all cast iron cookware, by the way…
