No.
But I do not consider my knife a self-defence weapon. Partly because I have no formal knife-fighting training.
I have carried a pocket folding knife to church for the last decade and nobody has complained. As long as it stays in my pocket, most people don’t notice and fewer care.

It depends on the church. Some churches have parishioners who might work with them and are simply carrying them as a tool and the rest of the people there don’t have a problem with it. Some might though, and you might be politely requested to take it out of the building and leave it in your car. And some have a big problem and have obvious signs posted that state that they don’t want you to bring a weapon inside the church.
If they have a problem with it, outright prohibit it, or ask you to remove the weapon from the building or premises, be respectful and do so. Refusing to do so, or worse, making a scene, looks badly on you, and will be used against you in both civil and criminal court.
In most cases, so long as it’s not obvious (like a pocket knife), they won’t have a problem with it. But it would be best to ask the minister/priest/rabbi/imam/etc if it’s fine. Some won’t have a problem with it, some will.

Why would it matter? There is nothing in the Bible that prohibits it. In fact the opposite is true. Jesus told his disciples to “sell your cloak and buy a sword”.
Of course it might be a bit difficult to sit in a pew with a frigging sword on, eh! Might poke pew mate!

If the church doesn’t ban weapons, it is not bad at all….quite the opposite.
If they do ban weapons, you must respect their right to do so (even if that means not attending).
