No. The 304 is a soft, corrosion resistant grade, good for utensils and may be spoons, but not for knives, forks etc.
You would need to select a martensitic grade that can be hardened and tempered, so that the knife retains its edge. The corrosion resistance is slightly less, but it is expected that the knife is cleaned and stored dry after use.

But it is a soft, low strength stainless steel. Unless you want a saltwater diving knife that you use rarely, 304 is not good for knives or cutlery. Typically 440C gets used in short blades. (It’s too brittle for long blades.)
