Highly depends on what you are coating – size, shape, material, quantity. Also depends on the thickness of the coating.

As others have suggested, it depends on the size of the item you are covering. However, if your intention is to apply this to a frying pan or other piece of cookware, please don’t use an off-the-shelf can of teflon or dry PTFE spray. Even food-grade PTFE sprays are not intended for use on cooking surfaces, but are instead formulated to meet guidelines laid out by the NSF for accidental ingestion only.
If your intention is to create a dry PTFE film on another type of equipment, Interflon manufactures lubricants and protective coatings that create a dry, clear film on whatever they are applied to. Depending again on what you are applying it to, the cost can be as low as pennies per application. Many of our products are food-safe, as well as kosher and halal (but again, please don’t apply them directly to cooking or food preparation surfaces).

I don’t know from personal experience coating surfaces with Teflon… but it cannot possibly cost very much in large batches because the price of a new ( cheap ) Teflon-coated pan isn’t much higher than the (new) price of the aluminum it contains. When you count the price of packaging, shipping, transportation, and stocking, it’s amazing that Telfon-coated things can be marketed as cheaply as they are.
