This came up on my feed this morning and I’m not sure why. If you are still needing information about this then maybe I can help. Almost always if a pan costs under $100.00 and has a non-stick lining it is going to be a PTFE lining of some sort. There are other types of non-stick treatments but I have never seen them on cheaper pans and pots. The coating will have plastic looking sheen to it and feel like a plastic paint. If it is used it will probably have a scratch or two in it maybe showing metal beneath it. The coating can be any color from a dark grar or green to a bright silver or even red.

Teflon coating is very distinct, and visible, some time it is written some where also teflon coated, Regardless proof is in the pudding, Fry some eggs and see if it sticks or not, it should settle it.

If so there’s some kind of non-stick coating. Possibly Teflon.

I am guessing that you are asking if your pans are non-stick coated. Teflon is a brand name and the material is called TPFE, if I am remembering correctly. A non-stick pan will have a very dark gray coating inside the pan. I think it is always an aluminum pan on the inside as well. I love using non-stick pans, but if they get at all scratched or chipped I toss them and replace. I am also a huge fan of Cast iron pans. When taken care of, it is almost as good as teflon and will last a life time.
