Oh yeah. The AR-15 is probably one of the most modular guns ever created. The flashlight it easy, you can clip it to the barrel, or attach it to a rail if you have one. Some states won’t allow you to have the bayonet though, so review your local laws before your throw it on there. Also I gotta ask… why the bayonet? You planning on doing a Vietnam LARP or…? Not my business I guess, good luck with the spit roast dude.

Yes. Here’s one I just finished building.
Edit: It seems some people think this is real. It is not, or at least as far as I know it is not real.

I’ve only found two legitimate modern use for fixed bayonets on rifles: Disabling vehicles by puncturing tires and probing for IEDs or buried weapons.
Unless your personal defensive expectations are VASTLY different from my own you’d be better off carrying an additional magazine of 5.56 than a bayonet unless you plan to get a USMC bayonet and use it as a utility knife as well(I prefer a Puuko that can slice tomatoes amazingly thin).
Ditch the bayonet and put that money and carried weight towards a better light(Surefire, Streamlight, Cloud Defensive, Olight) or more magazines and ammo.

Of course you can kit out your AR-15 with a bayonet. The AR-15 is specifically made for the M16 bayonet. In my “fanboy” days, I bought a bayonet for mine. I immediately decided that I really don’t have a use for it (am I really going to impale someone or just use my rifle to pick up litter?).
The light, on the other hand, would be more useful to you for nighttime shooting.

You can.
My AR15s are all capable of attaching a bayonet, but a carbine with a 16 barrel won’t work with an unmodified bayonet. My pistol AR would also need a modified bayonet. I have no modified bayonets for my AR pattern firearms.
A light makes more sense.

Not sure what you want this semi automatic sporting rifle for. But if you have to ask a question like that I don’t think you could finish an 80% lower, get all the rest of the parts and put it all together. For some legal things that light is a good idea and for others not so much but yes you can put a light on it. As far as the bayonet in some states that or even the lug for it is illegal. But exactly what do you want this semi automatic sporting rifle for? Can’t see much of a use for a bayonet on one.
Spring Assisted Knife – Pocket Folding Knife – Military Style
You can kit out your AR with truck nuts and a fog horn if you really want. But do you really need any of it? I don’t see a lot of scenarios where the average person needs to get stabby with their rifle in the dark.

If you want to, go for it. However, if you actually try them out you will find they add very little functional value. They only add weight and bulk.

With the original triangular hand guards it might be difficult as few light mounts are manufactured for that older style. If you have the newer A2 hand guards or are using hand guards with built-in Picatinney rails, M-Lock, or other system then it’s a piece of cake.

Yes, and you should, it will make you look “tacti-cool”, and impress all of us when you show up at the range, and climb into the trenches with us. In fact, a properly equipped “assualt rifle” should look like Jared’s build!
Although he should have “duct taped” a second magazine back to back, in case he needs to do a flip to access more ammo. And I can’t see a 45 degree back up iron sight set on it for some reason?

A light, yes. But why would you want a bayonet on a long range high powered rifle? If you are close enough to need a bayonet, you are probably already dead.

Yes you could . They have light attachments that go on to your rails , I personally don’t run a flash light on any of my guns ,but they’re great to have . And the good thing about the AR15, is that there is so much on the market that they offer diffrent mount setups for a lot of different bayonets

It is illegal in most states to have a fixed bayonet for anything other than to mount on a wall for showing off, so I’d find out your local laws on that first. Also, finding am ar15 upper with a bayonet lug might prove hard to find.
As for the flashlight, there are a million different ways to mount the light, so there’s really no problem at all, especially because you would never ever mount a flashlight on a bayonet lug in the first place.

Sure but why? A Bayonet means you are turning a gun into a spear
If you want to do this then the easiest way is to use a A2 Front sight with bayonet lug
Then you will need a Front handguard like this
Or a Magpul one like this you can attach a rail to
Gerber Gear 22-48485 Paraframe Mini Pocket Knife, 2.2 Inch Fine Edge Blade
Yes, so long as you have one with a bayonet lug mounted on a traditional front sight and gas block combo, but only on certain barrel and gas system lengths (eg. carbines with carbine length gas and 14.5″ barrels* or rifles with rifle length gas and 20″ barrels). As for a light, you can just duct tape one on there. But it is most secure when using a handguard with an attachment system, such as a 1913 rail (often called Picatinny), MLOK, or Keymod.
M16A4 as an example of both attached.
*You can have a longer than 14.5″ barrel with a carbine length gas system, but the end of the barrel will overlap more of the blade than it was designed for.

Sure, why not. Depending on where you live the bayonet may be illegal though.

Regarding bayonets, check your local laws.

Sure, you can do just about whatever you want with your AR. But before adding doodads and gizmos, it’s a good idea to ask yourself what you’re trying to accomplish with this rifle, because it’s very easy to turn a 6lb. gun into a 15lb. gun that verges on unusability because you don’t have a coherent goal in mind.
Let’s just assume for the moment that the purpose of this rifle is home defense:
Light. Great choice, because you really want the last-second confirmation that the person on the business end of this rifle is somebody who you want to be pointing a rifle at! Stumbling around in the dark, pointing a lethal weapon at a dark shape that might your wife or mother-in-law or son is a really bad idea; it’s a simple fix to put a light on the end of your rifle, and well worth the added cost in weight and additional controls.
Bayonet. Probably not a great choice; the bayonet was intended for trench warfare in situations where you’re either out of ammo or are encountering enough close-range enemies that having a knife on the end of the rifle would save you from an ill-timed reload. Neither of these circumstances are likely to apply to you in a home defense situation. The question becomes, “is the added weight and bulk hanging off the levered end of your rifle worth having a rifle capable of reaching out and stabbing someone?” Would it be nice to have if it didn’t cost anything? Sure. But it does; it makes the rifle harder to use, whether getting it out from under the bed without slicing your ankle, when maneuvering in a tight hallway ( stay put and don’t clear your house! ) , or when getting it onto target to fulfill its intended purpose. There’s no such thing as a free lunch; the question is, are the tradeoffs worth it?
I’m of the opinion the answer is no, but it’s your rifle; try it out both ways and decide for yourself.

I don’t know if YOU can or cannot. However based on the fact that you had to ask, my guess it that you’re not capable of it.
However most people can either DIY or know to ask a gunsmith and get it done.
