About

DIVA
Diva is an Italian word meaning a celebrated female singer. In todays world diva has come to mean a woman who knows what she wants & knows how to get it. I’m not a singer unless you count the times I belt out some tunes while I’m driving…but I do know what I want so I guess you can say I’m a diva by modern definition. I’m not the kind of diva that throws phones or flips over tables but I will tell if there is something not right. In a polite way of course.

About Me

My name is Sandy. I was born & raised in Philadelphia but now live in Northern New Jersey about 12 miles outside of Manhattan. I’m married 24 years to my soul mate John who is a clothing designer for a very popular American Icon. Once upon a time I to worked in the fashion business, so fashion is a huge part of our lives. We have 2 kids. Our daughter Lea 21 is in her last year of art school in Manhattan studying what else…fashion design. Our son John is 19 & is in school here in NJ studying music production. I adore my little family & my life. They mean the world to me…They are my world. They complete me.

Here are some tib-bits so you can get a sense of “me”.
I’m a gatherer of people. I love to plan parties both big & small. Being surrounded by my family & friends is pure joy to me. I pride myself on being honest, I’m a loyal friend & I love to laugh & have a good time.
I love to travel especially to Italy, I love to be wined & dined, dress up, take long baths, I love creams, lotions & perfumes, My favorite foods are pasta, a juicy steak, truffles, anything spicy, red wine & all desserts especially ones with chocolate & nuts. I have about 200 cookbooks & just as many pairs of shoes. Do I need to go on?

Diva Eats World
I started this blog as a way for me to document my journey through the world of food. To me food isn’t just about nourishing your body, it’s about gathering, laughter & fun.
I’m not a writer, chef or photographer so please don’t expect any fancy wording, elaborate recipes or perfect photos. I’m just a woman with many passions learning as I stumble through life. I want to share with you the places I love & the foods I savor.
I hope you decide to join me on my culinary adventure. If you do, bring a big appetite because it’s a mighty big world & I intend to eat it one bite at time.
